Collagen in a dish
Researchers exposed fibroblasts, cells that make the supporting material around tissues, to the copper complex. They measured production of collagen, a structural protein, rather than the appearance of anyone’s skin.
The fibroblast experiment reported higher collagen synthesis without a corresponding change in cell number. That separates a change in cell activity from simply having more cells in the dish.
The experiment does not establish a visible cosmetic result, a medical outcome or human safety. The paper’s cell setting remains part of the finding.

What crossed isolated skin
This was an experiment on separated human skin layers held in laboratory diffusion equipment. Researchers followed copper moving through or remaining in the tissue.
The skin-layer investigation detected copper passage and retention. Its useful detail is the substance measured: copper, rather than a direct measurement of intact GHK-Cu reaching a target.
An isolated skin sample is not a living participant. Tissue passage cannot stand in for evidence of a benefit or describe another route of administration.

A result that did not persist
Rats undergoing reconstruction of a knee ligament were assigned to saline or GHK-Cu groups. Measurements included knee looseness, tissue findings and mechanical strength.
The rat ligament study reported less knee looseness at the earlier assessment. At the later assessment there was no clear difference; the other mechanical and tissue measures did not establish a consistent advantage.
The timing changes the interpretation. A temporary difference in operated rat knees cannot establish a durable human outcome.

Objective measures and satisfaction
Participants recovering from laser resurfacing were assigned skin-care regimens with or without GHK-Cu. Computer analysis and blinded evaluators assessed redness and skin appearance; participants also reported satisfaction.
In the small post-laser comparison, objective assessments showed no clear difference in redness resolution, wrinkles or overall skin quality. Satisfaction was higher in the GHK-Cu group.
Satisfaction and a measured skin change answer different questions. This small, specific setting cannot settle broader claims about GHK-Cu.
